Hudson Valley Renegades News Release
NORWICH, CT - Tonight's series opener between the Hudson Valley Renegades and Connecticut Tigers has been postponed due to wet grounds sustained from an early-afternoon thunderstorm that saturated the playing surface at Dodd Stadium.
As a result, the teams will face off in a twi-night doubleheader tomorrow beginning at 5:05. Both games will be seven innings long. It will be the third doubleheader for the Renegades over the last eight days.
In game one, the Renegades will start right-hander Edisson Gonzalez (4-2, 3.18 ERA) against fellow-righty Marco Jimenez (2-1, 5.40 ERA) of the Tigers. Game two will feature right-hander Evan McKendry (3-1, 1.48 ERA) for Hudson Valley taking on a yet to-be-determined pitcher for Connecticut.
The Renegades return home on Saturday, August 17 when they start a three-game series with the Staten Island Yankees beginning at 6:05. Tickets are on sale and can be purchased online at hvrenegades.com, at the Dutchess Stadium ticket window, or by calling the ticket office at (845) 838-0094.
