
Future Phantoms Win Gold with Team USA

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Phantoms future looks brighter everyday as future draft picks continue to excel before they dawn the Phantom colors. Futures Draft Picks Tim Davison and Ryan Fitzgerald led the Team USA Under-17 team to a first place finish in Huttwil, Switzerland.
Both Davison and Fitzgerald are promising young talents and both look to make an impact next season. Director of Player Personnel, Jason Koehler is very excited to see both of these players wear the purple and orange.
"These two are the best 1994 year players at their positions," said Koehler. "Davison is an intelligent and gifted offensive defense man who should get some NHL interest. As for Fitzgerald, he gets is. He is a great 2-way player and looks to be a tremendous player next season."
Future Phantom forward and North Reading, Mass. native, Fitzgerald tallied seven points over the course of the four game tournament. Davison, a native of De Pere, Wis. and soon to be Phantom blue liner racked up two points overseas.
"The chance to play for this team was the chance of a lifetime," said Davison. "To play at that level was easily the highlight of my career."
For the 2010-11 season, Davison will compete at, Notre Dame Academy along with the U18 AAA for Team Wisconsin. Fitzgerald will be playing for Malden Catholic and will be headed to Boston College at the start of the 2013 school term.
