Fury Sign Three; Prepare for Road Trip

The Ontario Fury, Driven by Mark Christopher Chevrolet, signed three players Thursday as they take off for a four-game road trip with stops in Dallas, Chicago, Turlock and Sacramento.
Ontario signed free agent midfielder Semir Mesanovic and local products forward Ulises Mosqueda and midfielder Andy Reyes. The signings come on the heels of the Fury's trade of Joey Taverese to Syracuse earlier in the day.
The Cedar Rapids Rampage released Mesanovic earlier in the week, after the Rampage acquired the 2015 MASL Rookie of the Year Gordy Gurson in a trade with the St. Louis Ambush. In 10 games with Cedar Rapids, he had three goals and two assists. In the 2012-13 season with Rockford, Mesanovic scored 19 goals and five assists in 13 games. He also previously played with Fury president and coach Bernie Lilavois with the California Cougars in Stockton.
Mosqueda is a 2011 graduate of Fontana's Kaiser High School and played four years at the University of California, Riverside. In four years with the Highlanders, Mosqueda scored three goals and had four assists in 53 appearances.
Reyes recently finished his senior season at Cal State San Bernardino, where he started 13 of the 15 games he appeared in this season. Before attending Cal State San Bernardino, Reyes played at Taft College, where he earned All-Conference Honors as a sophomore. He grew up in the San Diego area, where he attended Patrick Henry High School.
The three join the Fury as it heads out on the first half of its four-game road trip with games this weekend against Dallas on Friday and Chicago on Sunday. The Fury embarked on the trip without injured regulars Nelson Santana, Joey Pacheco, Juan Carlos Gonzalez and Josh Ayers. Also unable to travel with the team were Tino Nunez, Andriy Budnyy and Cesar Rivera. To fill out the roster, coach Bernie Lilavois has been activated as a player for the weekend.
The Fury will take on the Dallas Sidekicks from the Allen Events Center at 5:30 p.m. PST Friday, then will travel north to take on the Chicago Mustangs at 1:05 p.m. Sunday from the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.
