Peoria Rivermen News Release

The Peoria Rivermen are proud to announce their first "Fun on the Run Family Day" of 2013-14 will take place Sunday, Dec. 22, when Bloomington visits Carver Arena at 3:15 p.m. Highlights this season include great ticket and food specials for kids, surprise guest appearances and a post-game skate with the entire team, courtesy of Fun on the Run, Raber Packing Co., Coca-Cola, The Unique Twist and Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips.

"We're very excited to continue the tradition of making Rivermen hockey enjoyable for all and especially a great experience for kids," Rivermen co-owner Bart Rogers said. "It should be an experience they'll never forget and we're thrilled to have so many great partners who feel the same way."

The season-long Sunday promotion begins with a fantastic deal on both tickets and food for kids. All kids 12 and under can receive an upper bowl ticket for just $1 with a paid adult. Kids' meals will also be available for those 12 and under, which includes a hot dog, chips and a drink for just $3. In addition, Fun on the Run will provide inflatables from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Great Hall of the Peoria Civic Center, and all kids will have the opportunity to enjoy free face painting, a balloon man and meet other special guests including Spongebob Squarepants this weekend.

After the final horn, all fans are invited to bust out the blades and enjoy a post-game skate with the entire team at Carver Arena.

The Rivermen would also like to introduce their special "Kitchen Cooked 4-for-$40" deal for the 2013-14 season. At any game all season long, a family of four can purchase four upper bowl tickets for just $40, courtesy of Kitchen Cooked Potato Chips.

For tickets or more information, please visit the Rivermen office located inside the Peoria Civic Center or call (309) 676-1040.
