Defenseman has scored 14 points in 41 ECHL games
INDIANAPOLIS - The Indy Fuel, proud ECHL affiliate of the NHL's Chicago Blackhawks and the AHL's Rockford IceHogs announced Monday that they have acquired defenseman Nick Trecapelli from the Adirondack Thunder, in exchange for future considerations.
Trecapelli, 26, appeared in Adirondack's opening night victory over the Brampton Beast Saturday night, logging a pair of penalty minutes. The 6-foot-2, 216-pound defenseman split the 2016-17 season between the Atlanta Gladiators and the Wichita Thunder, tallying four goals and 10 assists in 41 games. Trecapelli saw action in seven AHL games with the Binghamton Senators at the end of the 2015-16 season, shortly after finishing his collegiate career at the University of Guelph. In four seasons with the Gryphons, the Guelph native recorded 65 points (12g, 53a) across 101 total contests.
