Fuad Adeniyi Named to USL League One Team of the Week

South Georgia Tormenta FC News Release

STATESBORO, Ga. - South Georgia Tormenta FC defender Fuad Adeniyi was named to USL League One's Team of the Week for Week 27 of the 2022 regular season. The South Georgia defender scored his first professional goal in Sunday's draw against the Richmond Kickers. Defensively, Adeniyi locked down to help South Georgia limit league leaders to only three shots on target the entire game.

Adeniyi scored the first goal at Tormenta Stadium following a corner kick rebounded and was placed back into the penalty box finding Adeniyi, who simply switched the trajectory of the ball towards the net. With this goal, Adeniyi has scored his first professional goal of his career.

Following its fixture against Richmond, Tormenta FC travels to Omaha to take on reigning USL League One winner Union Omaha on Saturday, Oct. 8, at 8 p.m. ET.
