
Fútbol de Calle Set to Take Off in Queens

SECAUCUS, NJ (Tuesday, January 16, 2007) - In less than a week, the New York Red Bulls' search for New York and New Jersey's premier freestyle soccer talent - Red Bull Fútbol de Calle - begins with the first preliminary tryout set for 11 a.m. ET this Saturday, January 20th at Extravaganza, located on 33-15 56th Street in Queens (Woodside), NY.
This event will be the first of three preliminaries that the Red Bulls are hosting, with the goal of creating an elite Freestyle Soccer Team, due to hit the streets in March 2007. This team will represent the Red Bulls at special events, tournaments, promotions, and other locations throughout the metro area and beyond, fueling the passion for the world's favorite game. Candidates who are successful at the prelims will be invited to participate in the final showdown.
The Red Bull Fútbol de Calle Finale will take place at a premier NYC location in February 2007. In front of a panel of esteemed judges, as well as an audience of up to 1,000 soccer fans, candidates will be challenged to show the Red Bulls what they've got, and the Maestro - the King of all Freestylers - will be crowned. From this elite group, the Red Bulls Freestyle Team will be chosen.
