
Frostbite again bite Vipers

GLENS FALLS, NY -- Mike Berry scored two goals, and Greg Koehler added a goal and two assists, to lead the Adirondack Frostbite to a 7-3 win over the Roanoke Valley Vipers on Wednesday in front of 2,569 fans at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
The Frostbite are now unbeaten in their last seven games (6-0-1) and have out-scored the Vipers 31-14 in their last four head-to-head meetings.
The two teams traded power-play goals in the opening eight minutes of the game as Matt Elich tallied for Roanoke at 6:35, and Sylvain Cloutier tied the score at 8:02.
Adirondack dominated the second period, scoring five times. Berry and Ryan Bennett tallied 1:03 apart early in the period to make it 4-1, and Frank Bakrlik, Koehler, and Berry scored 2:52 apart late in the period to seize control of the contest.
Roanoke pulled closer, getting a power-play goal from Elich with 0.5 seconds left in the second, and a tally from Mike Wiggins 18 seconds into the third, but Hugo Belanger set the final, scoring a power-play goal at 10:51.
The Frostbite out-shot the Vipers 47-22, and have notched 100 shots on goal in the last two games. Adirondack was 2-for-4 on the power play tonight, and is 8-for-16 on the man advantage over the last three games.
Adirondack and Roanoke meet for the third straight game on Friday at 7:35 p.m. at the Glens Falls Civic Center. The world's hottest entertainment act, the Zooperstars, will be in attendance to entertain fans throughout the night, and the chuck-a-puck winner receives a Team Aquafina All-Star jersey autographed by the Frostbite's All-Star representatives: Hugo Belanger, Scott Drevitch, Bob Rapoza, and Kevin Watters.
