
Frontenacs Announce Commitment of Konstantin Chernyuk

Kingston-The Kingston Frontenacs announced Konstantin Chernyuk has entered into a standard player agreements to join the team for the 2015-16 season. Chernyuk, a 17 year-old Russian defenceman, was selected in the first round of the 2015 CHL Import Draft earlier this month, 27th overall.
"We are extremely pleased to announce that we have reached a standard player agreement with Konstantin," said Doug Gilmour, General Manager of the Kingston Frontenacs. "We look forward to welcoming Konstantin to the Kingston Frontenacs at Training Camp in August."
Chernyuk, a six-foot-five-inch defenceman played for both the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Under-18 team and the Witchita Falls Wildcats of the North Amercian Hockey League. In Wilkes-Barre/Scranton he scored 2 goals and 3 assists in 14 games, while adding 3 goals and 8 assists in 37 games Witchita Falls.
The Kingston Frontenacs open 2015-16 Training Camp the weekend of September 1-2. More information will be released closer to the dates. On Saturday, September 19, 2015 the Frontenacs host the Ottawa 67's in the team's only home exhibition game at Rogers K-Rock Centre, after facing off in Ottawa on Friday, September 18, 2015.
