CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - The season for the Corpus Christi IceRays may have ended early, however, they continue to assist charity by helping out to sponsors on the golf course.

On Wednesday, IceRays head coach Justin Quenneville along with General Manager Pat Dunn caddied in annual Valero Texas Open Pro-Am golf tournament that featured many famous professional PGA Tour golfers.

"I was a fun time to get out in a social environment with sponsors," said Quenneville. "Not only did we get the opportunity to socialize with some of the best golfers in the world, but re-iterate our commitment to sponsors and thanking them for their support."

Quenneville was in the group with Boo Weekley, a past member of the United States team at the Ryder Cup, and carried the bag for Rod Cunningham of Oak Farms. IceRays GM Pat Dunn carried a bag in a group alongside Tim Herron for his good friend Scott McClarren, Director of Hygeia South Texas.

"It's a great cause and also a fun day for Q and I to caddy during the Valero Texas Open Pro-Am," said Dunn. "We have been doing this for a few years. I have been strapped to Scott McClarren's bag, and Q has been doing the same for Rod Cunningham of Oak Farms."

In the past years, they have caddied in groups with Adam Scott, Charlie Hoffman, and Johnson Wagner.

The Valero Texas Open is a big deal in South Texas and has raised millions of dollars in its existence. The Open raised $9 million this past year for charity and over $76 million over the course of its existence in the PGA.

"We are proud to give back and do our share," Dunn added, "but also to thank our sponsors Hygeia Dairy/Oak Farms for their continued support."
