LAKEWOOD, NJ - The Lakewood BlueClaws (15-23) trailed by five runs after five innings, but climbed back to the walk-off, 6-5 win over the Greensboro Grasshoppers (15-23) Thursday night at FirstEnergy Park. The win marks the second in a row for Lakewood, and fourth in a row against the Grasshoppers.

It wasn't until the sixth inning where Lakewood showed some life and got off the mat. With two down Art Charles singled, and scored on Willie Carmona's rocket double to right-center for Lakewood's first run.

The wheels continued to turn for Lakewood courtesy of an Anthony Gomez error on Larry Greene, Jr.'s grounder. Mitch Walding connected for a two run double and Carlos Tocci followed with a double that scored Walding and pulled Lakewood within one at 5-4.

In the eighth it was Charles and Greene, Jr. at it again. Charles led off the frame with a double to the corner in left and two hitters later it was Larry's turn. He turned on a 94-MPH fastball from Miguel Fermin and hit it to the wall in right center for a game tying double.

In the ninth it was Angelo Mora that was hit by a pitch to begin the inning. Roman Quinn had a sacrifice bunt that was fielded by the third baseman Cabrera who fired to the covering second baseman to retire Quinn. However, Mora advanced all the way to third, which was left vacant by the 'Hoppers infield.

After an intentional walk was issued to Chace Numata, extending his streak to 19-games in a row that he has reached base, it was Brian Pointer batting with runners at the corners and one out.

With two strikes against him, Pointer chopped one over the head of the first baseman Rosa and gave the BlueClaws the sixth and winning run for the BlueClaws.

After dropping the last three to the BlueClaws, Greensboro wasted no time jumping out in front. The first two hitters of the ballgame reached on singles in the first, and came around to score on Yordy Cabrera's double and put the 'Hoppers in front 2-0.

Miguel Nunez took the hill for Lakewood and found himself in a bit of a rut to start, but buckled down and retired the next six in order. In the third, it was Viorsergy Rosa plating the third run of the game with a single to right. Two more runs to scored in the fourth against Nunez and gave the 'Hoppers a 5-0 lead.

Nunez managed to finish six innings and allowed the five earned runs on 11 hits; he didn't walk a batter, but hit a batter, and struck out three. After Nunez was dismissed, it was Geoff Broussard (2-0) that took over, and took the BlueClaws home on the mound.

The righty delivered three scoreless innings and earned his second win of the season. He allowed three hits, but did not walk a batter and struck out one.

Del Orbe was lifted after the Carmona double and was tagged with two of the runs, one of which was unearned. The final line for the starter was five and two-thirds, four hits, two runs, one earned; he walked three and struck out two.

Dane Stone was the first out of the 'pen and gave up the other two runs in the sixth and Miguel Fermin (0-1) allowed the tying and winning runs for Lakewood.
