Frisco, TX - The RoughRiders say âlet baseball fever begin!' Dr Pepper/Seven Up Ballpark becomes a veritable baseball heaven Saturday, January 24, 2004 from 1 p.m. â to 4 p.m. with the "RoughRiders Round-Up" that includes an exclusive autograph session with Texas Rangers players, a special appearance by RoughRiders mascot Deuce, select-a-seat opportunities, and behind-the-scene tours.
Fans experiencing the full menu of baseball activity at Saturday's event will be able to personally select their seats for the exciting 2004 season. Visitors will also be allowed to tour the new and improved Founder's Club, complete with a video arcade, dart boards and bumper pool. Current Texas Rangers Hank Blalock, Colby Lewis and Jeff Zimmerman will be joined by Rangers pitching coach and Hall of Fame pitcher, Orel Hershiser in the Founder's Club from 2:00-3:30.
The RoughRiders very own Prairie Dog mascot, Deuce will be warming up the crowds with his usual antics, but of course coffee and hot chocolate will be on hand as well. "The countdown to Opening Day has begun. We are so excited about the upcoming 2004 season which promises to be bigger and better than last year," said RoughRiders Vice President of Sales and Marketing Lynn Wittenburg. "We don't need to wait until April to get the fever...we've got it now and so do our fans."
