Friday's Tortugas-Hammerheads Matchup Rained Out

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Daytona Tortugas' scheduled game on Friday evening against the Jupiter Hammerheads at Jackie Robinson Ballpark has been postponed due to lightning and unplayable field conditions.

As a result, both teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday, June 25, with the first pitch of game one slated for 5:05 p.m. ET. Both contests will be seven innings in length. There will be a roughly 30-minute break in between the two games

The gates are set to open at 4 p.m., one hour before the first pitch. Fans with tickets to Friday's postponed game may redeem them at the Tortugas' box office for any ticket (of equal or lesser value) to a Tortugas home game throughout the remainder of the 2022 regular season. Patrons may also redeem their tickets by calling the 'Tugas at (386) 257-3172.

The series continues for the twinbill, as we throw it back a few decades for 90's Night, featuring special on-field games and promotions, as part of the festivities. Fans will want to arrive at the ballpark early, as the first 500 fans will receive a Fanny Pack Giveaway. It will also be Orange City Night and City of DeBary Night featuring discounted tickets for residents through the appropriate FEVO link.

Friday's scheduled starting pitcher RHP Hunter Parks (2-0, 3.67) - is expected to get the ball for Daytona in game one, while RHP Javi Rivera (2-3, 3.13) is slated to take the hill in the nightcap. Jupiter's scheduled starter for Friday - LHP Justin Fall (3-5, 4.87) - is projected to get the ball in the lid-lifter. RHP Holt Jones (1-3, 5.50) - expects to start the finale.
