
Fresno Wins Third Straight Over Colorado Springs, 6-4

The Fresno Grizzlies held off a late Colorado Springs rally as they downed the Sky Sox 6-4 on Saturday evening at Security Service Field in front of 6,936 fans. It was the Sox' third straight loss in the series and their fourth straight overall.
Fresno starter Kevin Pucetas (9-2) picked up the win after working seven solid innings. He surrendered three runs, one earned, on six hits, two walks and four strikeouts. Steve Edlefsen came on in relief of Pucetas in the eighth and gave up one unearned run on two hits before giving way to closer Geno Espineli in the ninth who notched his 13th save of the season.
Adam Eaton started for the Sky Sox and got the no decision after giving up three runs on seven hits over six innings. Ben Julianel (2-1) came into a tie game in the seventh and gave up two runs on three hits, including a solo home run to Ryan Rohlinger, to take the loss.
Rohlinger and Juan Ciriaco combined to go 6-for-7 with three runs scored and three RBIs for Fresno as the Grizzlies smacked out 12 hits on the night. For the Sky Sox, Matt Miller went 4-for-5 with a pair of runs scored and Dan Ortmeier and Christian Colonel each had two RBIs.
Game four is set for tomorrow afternoon at 1:05 PM with RH Brandon Hynick (7-7, 3.92) taking on RH Joe Martinez (0-0, 3.27).
