July 18, 2009 - Pacific Coast League (PCL1)
Reno Aces News Release
RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces storm back home on Monday night for a four-game set against the Portland Beavers, Triple-A Affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The homestand includes National Hug Your Kids Day at Aces Ballpark and the return of Coors Light Thursday Night.
For Monday's series opener, the Aces help celebrate National Hug Your Kids Day, an initiative founded by a local mother in memory of her son, who died suddenly 11 years ago at 8 ½ years old. Prior to the game, Model Dairy will be on-hand with free ice cream, youth singers will perform and at 6:30 p.m. participants will gather for the "Biggest Little Hug."
That night, Drew Simpson, a former Reno High School baseball player who has recovered from a traumatic brain injury, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
The upcoming homestand will come to a close in a big way, with the return of the popular Coors Light Thursday Night. $2 Coors Light will be available from 6 p.m. PT until the fifth inning.
For tickets, stop by the Aces Ballpark Box Office, call (775) 334-7000 or visit www.RenoAces.com.
