North Texas Fresh News Release

ARLINGTON - Integrity is an American word that is used to tie in honesty, trust, and character. Integrity is something that the North Texas Fresh have shown touse from the start of their existence and is something that the Fresh are truly committed too.

The ABA announced the addition of the Arlington Bulldogs, a new travel team in the Dallas - Fort Worth area. Sources close to both franchises have mentioned that the staff members for the Arlington Bulldogs are ex - North Texas Fresh staff members and that majority of the players were players cut from the Fresh camp.

The GM/Head Coach of the Arlington Bulldogs shows Aaron Evans, who was previously the 3rd Assistant Coach for the North Texas Fresh. There has been no information to why Evans left the Fresh but there has been information released that Evans and other staff have talked to players that are under contract with the North Texas Fresh without permission.

According to the North Texas Fresh General Manager, Timothy Anwar, Maurice "Snoop" Williams, J.R. McDougal, and other practice squad members were immediately released from the Fresh organization due to the players playing for the Arlington Bulldogs without the knowledge of the North Texas Fresh.

It was reported that Aaron Evans called Fresh players to play for him against the Southeast Texas Mavericks because of the lack of players he had on his own roster to make the trip. On that trip included Williams and McDougal.

When speaking with Mr. Anwar about the Bulldogs move towards the Fresh talent, he responded stating: "I was very disappointed in the professionalism of the Bulldogs and our former players. This is a professional business and the actions that have been shown by the Bulldogs definitely show a lack of integrity."

Aaron Evans was unavailable to be reached but Lisa Bowdy, who is the Coach of the Fresh and mother of Owner Jay Bowdy was able to be reached as well.

"We don't worry about spoiled milk," stated Coach Bowdy. "If players decide to leave and follow someone who left them through our journey then we let them go and we bring in someone who is better. We have accomplished so much and we have already replaced Snoop Williams with a better Williams player that will guide us through the playoffs. Evans knows what he's doing and nobody gets by, but our record speaks for itself."

Jay Bowdy, Owner of the North Texas Fresh, was also unavailable for comment, but there was a video posted on youtube, "Where Amazing Happens - Jay Bowdy" that showed a part where the video states, "Where some turn they back on me happens," with J.R. Rider's picture. The link to this video is listed below.

The Fresh shows to be 12 - 2 on the season and have beating the Bulldogs twice in double digits. According to an undisclosed source, the Bulldogs have lost all four of their games and have lost each in double digits.
