
New Coach to Lead Fresh to an ABA Championship

It is confirm that the North Texas Fresh has hired Joao "JC" Costa as its new basketball coach. Costa has coached many great players who have had the privilege of playing or still playing in the NBA.
"We are thrilled to welcome Coach JC into the Fresh Family," owner/player Jay Bowdy said. "Coach JC has a vision of helping our franchise grow and getting our players to the next level. He is a phenomenal coach, with great experience and one that can give us a chance to win a ABA Championship."
"It's great to have someone that has coached guys at the next level," guard/forward A.D. Duncan said. "The bottom line is we want to continue to win and get better."
Costa says he's ready to get started."I'm very excited about the opportunity to join the Fresh Family and proud to be the next head coach," he said. "We have challenges in front of us, but we also have time to make the adjustments necessary."
Costa played professional basketball in Europe prior to starting his coaching career. He has had the opportunity to participated in practices alongside great coaches with a few being: Coach Mike Krzyzewski, Coach Roy Williams, Coach Eddie Sutton and a few more. He has also had the opportunity to coach NBA players Nate Robinson, Terrance Williams, and former NBA Superstar Dennis Rodman.
Coach JC's takeover as head coach has been named "effective immediately." He will be accompanied by an assistant coach from the Dallas - Fort Worth area to be announced soon. For tickets please visit http://northtexasfresh.ticketleap.com.
