The North Texas Fresh is in their 3rd year with the American Basketball Association; the oldest active professional basketball association in history.

"I've held back on tryouts until we had all our ducks in a row," stated Jay Bowdy, Owner of the Fresh. "This year will be a special year and we need special players that have a true love for the game of basketball and can complete the roles that we are seeking to fill." The North Texas Fresh will have, both, old and new players battle for the open roster spots for the team.

The registration fee is only $100 and will only be accepted in the form of cash or money order on the date of tryouts. Players must be 18 years of age or older. Photo I.D. will be required and injury waiver must be completed and signed for participation. The tryouts will be open to all press/media and a limited number of spectators will be allowed.

The tryouts will simulate a NBA D - League style of workout. Players will be looked at to see their dedication on the defense, offense, and their movement without the basketball. Multiple types of scrimmages will occur to see the different style of play that players have and their ability to build chemistry with teammates.

"Our 1st two years we were loaded with talented players, but we were loaded with a lot of selfishness too. We want to avoid that by all means this year and it will start with bringing in the best players that will fit our vision," stated Bowdy.
