Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Orleans, Massachusetts: The Cape Cod Frenzy's second leading scorer and rebounder has been signed to play in Germany. Richmond Pittman Jr. arrived to Gelsenkirchen, Germany yesterday to join his new team, FC Schalke 04.

Pittman, who averaged 19.3 points and 8.3 rebounds for the Frenzy, is a tenacious rebounder and opportunistic scorer.

"We have no doubt he will be successful because he is a warrior and competes every time he's on the court," stated Frenzy GM Ian McCarthy, "This is one of the advantages of playing in the ABA - the players get a chance to improve their resume or catch someone's eye."

In Pittman's case, he played in Iceland last year before joining the Frenzy for the first 18 games of this year.

To replace Pittman at power forward, Coach Clarke has inserted 6'7 Raheim Lamb (UMass/Curry College) into the starting lineup, alongside 2007 ABA All Star forward Rob Sanders.

The Cape Cod Frenzy are currently on a break before traveling up to Burlington Vermont on Thursday February 1st to face the vaunted Frost Heaves. Their next home game will be a rematch against the Heaves on Saturday February 3rd at 7:00 PM at Nauset Regional High School in Eastham. You can always buy Frenzy tickets online at www.capecodfrenzy.com via E-Ticket or at the game.
