Cape Cod Frenzy News Release

Boston, MA. The ABA Boston Frenzy is pleased to announce that they have signed Boston native 6'2" point guard Wayne Turner and former Northeastern University player, 6'6" forward Tyrone Mack. Turner won two NCAA Championships at the University of Kentucky in '96 and in '98 and had a stint with the Boston Celtics in 2000.

Wayne Turner grew up in Boston playing basketball with the Frenzy's head coach, Eggie McCrae. The two are alumni of the Boston Amateur Basketball Club (BABC) where McCrae is in the Hall of Fame as a player. Regarding the signing, Coach McCrae stated, "When Wayne said "yes" I got real excited for our team because they've fought so hard this year through ups and downs, that adding a player of Wayne's caliber is going to make a huge difference."

The Frenzy and their new look lineup face Darryl Dawkins and the Newark Express this Friday night and Saturday night at 7pm in Newark, NJ. The team then travels to Rochester to play the #1 team in the ABA, the Rochester Razorsharks on Sunday at 2pm.
