Rochester RazorSharks News Release

(Rochester, New York) - The Rochester RazorSharks announced today that forward Chris Carrawell has returned to Rochester from the French national basketball league without playing a game for Paris BR of the Division I league. Carrawell, who suffered a calf muscle strain during Rochester's 113-98 win over Indiana on February 23, needed seven days to recuperate from that injury, a time limit that Paris BR could not endure.

"While I'm disappointed in Paris BR's decision, I am happy to be back in Rochester," said Carrawell. "I hope my teammates, ownership and the fans of Rochester understand my predicament and I look forward to helping the RazorSharks succeed in the upcoming playoffs."

Carrawell is expected to miss the final two regular season games with his injury but will be prepared to play in the ABA playoffs. The 6'6" forward is the RazorSharks second leading scorer, averaging 17.4 points in 25 regular season games. The Duke University graduate contributes 5.3 rebounds per game, 2.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game in helping the Rochester to a 24-3 record and the number one ranking in the American Basketball Association.

"We will welcome Chris back to the RazorSharks family with open arms", said RazorSharks Head Coach Rod Baker. "Chris has meant a lot to this team all season, he's a classy individual and we are excited to have him join us in our championship run this month."
