Boston, MA. The ABA Cape Cod Frenzy remain undefeated in the Mass Arts Premiere Pro Exposure League in Boston by defeating RG2 All Stars, 138-132. The Frenzy, clicking on all cylinders early, leapt out to their biggest lead of the game at 78-50 behind the hot shooting of veteran guard Matt Alosa (26 points). But the RG2 All Stars would not go away. They fought back and closed the gap to 92-80 with three minutes left in the third quarter. A fastbreak slam by Frenzy guard James Hall pushed the lead back out to twenty at 107-87 at the close of the third.

In the fourth quarter, the RG2 All Stars began to full court press in an effort to rattle the Frenzy guards. Bit by bit they narrowed the lead. With 3:24 remaining in the game, RG@ forward Mike Ifill scored on an athletic lay up against Frenzy center Modibo Diarra and was awarded two points plus the foul shot. That cut the lead down to 128-122. The press continued to pay dividends as a steal led to a runner by RG2 point guard Bilal Abdullah further closing the score to 133-132. But a key block by Frenzy forward Randell Jackson led to free throws by Eggie Mcrae and James Hall and the Cape Cod Frenzy once again emerged victorious.

In addition to Alosa, the Frenzy were led by forward Scott Hazelton with 30 points and 13 rebounds. Randall Jackson came up big with 25 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Guards James Hall and Robert Mitchell contributed 22 points and 11 points respectively. And 6'10 center Modibo Diarra scored 10 points and grabbed 16 rebounds.

The RG2 All Stars point guard combination of Ismael Caro and Bilal Abdullah combined for 71 points (Caro 34, Abdullah 37). Tonight, the Frenzy face Team Winners at 630pm at the Mass College of Art & Design.
