Buzz drops second in a row, 120-96
July 13, 2006 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Maywood Buzz News Release
Long Beach, CA - The Carson Buzz lost its 2nd game Wednesday night at the LA NBA Summer Pro League 120-96 to Hoosier Daddy Hoops who are coach by former NBA Player John "Hot Plate" Williams.
"This was a tough lost tonight, we had a 9pt lead at half and just forgot there was a second half" said Buzz Head Coach/GM Burrel Lee III. "We play again Friday night and it doesn't get any easier. We play LSA who have NBA Vets Bo Outlaw (Magic), Penny Hardaway (Magic) & 3pt threat Damon Jones (Cavs). Also the LA Lakers follow our game so the pryamid will be sold out, meaning 5000+ will be watching us so we have to come out to play".
Buzz rookie Terrell Hendricks has been on fire this summer putting up 18pts, 4rebs and 6stls in limited minutes due to dislocating his finger.
"Terrell is a awesome player, the type the ABA loves...he has earned a spot on the Buzz roster" Lee said. "He can be the Dwayne Wade of the ABA" Lee added.
