Frederick Keys News Release
Frederick, MD- The Frederick Keys (16-18) were defeated by the Williamsport Crosscutters (20-15) on Wednesday night by a final score of 7-2 from Muncy Bank Ballpark in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
The loss eliminated Frederick from the possibility of winning the first half of the Draft League summer.
A five-run 1st inning for Williamsport off Keys starting right-hander Jordan Geber (Virginia Tech) was all that the Crosscutters needed to take the series over Frederick.
First baseman Alex Baeza (Utah) had a team high two hits, including an RBI single, and reached base all four times in the loss. Outfielder Dominic Freeberger (UNC Asheville) drove in the other run of the game with a sacrifice fly in the 1st.
Frederick's next game is tomorrow, Thursday, July 14 at Trenton from Trenton Thunder Ballpark in Trenton, New Jersey. First pitch is at 7:00 pm.
