Omaha Storm Chasers News Release
Nebraska Cornhusker legends Tommie Frazier, Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, Johnny Dorn and Steve Edelfsen will be at Werner Park as part of the Nebraska Greats Jersey Auction during the Omaha Storm Chasers' matchup against the New Orleans Baby Cakes on Saturday, June 10.
All five Cornhusker alums are scheduled to be at the ballpark that evening to throw out first pitches. In addition, fans will have a chance to bid on special Nebraska Greats jerseys signed by Frazier, Crouch, Rodgers, Dorn and Edelfsen as part of a post-game live auction. Along with those signed jerseys, Storm Chasers players and coaches will also be wearing Nebraska Greats jerseys that will be auctioned during the game. All auction proceeds will benefit Nebraska Greats Foundation.
The Nebraska Greats Foundation is a non-profit, 501c3 organization that provides financial assistance to former Nebraska collegiate athletics who, as a result of a medical challenge, have exhausted both their insurance and personal resources. The organization is founded and run by former athletes from various Nebraska colleges.
Fans will also want to arrive early that evening, as the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Paulo Orlando "O" Bobblewaist thanks to Omaha - We Don't Coast, 30+ communities that make Omaha - Greater Omaha. Gates will open at 6:00 p.m. that evening, with parking lots open starting at 5:00 p.m.
Single game tickets for that night and all remaining Storm Chasers home contests are still available, and can be purchased online at www.omahastormchasers.com, or by calling the Werner Park Ticket Office from noon until 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday at (402) 738-5100.
