Buffalo Bandits News Release

Buffalo, New York (July 20, 2004) -- Buffalo Bandits' General Manager Kurt Silcott announced today that forward Randy Fraser has decided to retired from the National Lacrosse League.

"Randy has been a very valuable member of our team these past few years," stated Silcott. "His leadership and his drive set great examples for many of our younger players. He has played in this league for a number of years in a variety of roles, first as a scorer, then as a defender and then as a face-off specialist with us. His versatility will be missed on the floor but it ultimately will be his chemistry and his team-first attitude that we will never be able to replace."

Fraser appeared in 81 games during his eleven-year NLL career, scoring 102 goals and 76 assists for 178 points. His greatest attribute on the field was his skill in the face-off circle, registering a face-off percentage of .500 or better during six seasons. His best statistical output came during the 1998 season when he scored 17 goals and 25 assists in 12 games for the New York Saints.

The Oakdale, New York, native spent the final three seasons of his professional lacrosse career with Buffalo. In 13 games wearing a Bandits' jersey, Fraser registered one goal and three assists for four points.
