
Francis Added to Training Camp Roster

The Gwinnett Gladiators have added forward Matt Francis to their training camp roster and have released forward Liam Tully from his professional tryout agreement. The Gladiators training camp roster remains at 20 players.
Francis joins the Gladiators after he attended training camp in the American Hockey League with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. Francis was released by Rockford on Thursday. He agreed to terms with Gwinnett on June 25th.
The Surry, British Columbia, native shared third in scoring among Gladiators rookies during the 2009-2010 season with 40 points (19 goals, 21 assists) in 68 games with Gwinnett. He had a career best nine game point-scoring streak from February 21st thru March 11th last season and collected 15 points (eight goals, seven assists) in that span.
The first on-ice session for the Gladiators 2010-2011 training camp will take place on Saturday, October 2nd at 12:10 p.m. at the Duluth Ice Forum. The Gladiators training camp will run through October 14th in preparation for the Gladiators first game of the season at Florida on October 15th. Gwinnett opens the home schedule of the 2010-2011 season on Friday, October 22nd against the South Carolina Stingrays.
The Gwinnett Gladiators open the 2010-11 season on the road before returning home to host the South Carolina Stingrays on Friday, October 22nd at 7:35 p.m. The Gladiators are the AA affiliate of the Atlanta Thrashers and play all home games at the 11,355-seat Arena at Gwinnett Center, located just off I-85 on Sugarloaf Parkway in Duluth.
