EVERETT, Wash. -- The Everett AquaSox (4-2, 20-24) have won four straight games after starting the second half of the 2011 season 0-2, defeating the Boise Hawks (2-4, 19-25) by the score of 9-4 with another impressive outing for Everett's young ace Jose Campos.

Campos (3-3, 2.79 ERA) went six innings and allowed just one earned run off four hits. Campos had his streak of 20 consecutive innings pitched at Everett Memorial without an earned run snapped in the sixth inning on a sacrifice fly, but he has not allowed more than an earned run in a home start this season.

Catcher Larry Gonzalez came in to the game with only two RBI all season, but led a balanced Frogs attack with three RBI on a double in the third and a two-run triple in sixth. The Sox broke a 4-1 game open in the sixth inning, scoring on Gonzalez' triple, an RBI double by Patrick Brady and a sacrifice fly by second baseman Jorge Agudelo to put the game out of reach at 8-1.

Right-fielder Mario Yepez extended his league-high 13-game home hitting streak with a single in the fifth and first baseman Jharmidy De Jesus hit his first home run at home this season with a two-run shot with two outs in the third. Yepez and De Jesus were one-two in batting average on the team in July among players with at least 15 games.

Everett posted a 17-13 record in July, third best in the Northwest League for the month behind Salem-Keizer and Tri-City, and sit a half game out of first place in the West with Salem-Keizer taking on the Yakima Bears Sunday night.

The Sox will look to start off another winning month as they take on the Yakima Bears on August 2 sending out left-hander Bennett Whitmore (2-4, 5.23 ERA), who has allowed only one earned run on the road this season, against Bears' righty Alex Capaul (1-1, 2.51 ERA) at 7:05 p.m. on Fox Sports 1380 KRKO.
