
Four Players Released from Sea Dogs' Training Camp Roster

SAINT JOHN, NB --- Saint John Sea Dogs Director of Hockey Operations Mike Kelly announced today that four players have been released from the club's training camp roster effective immediately. There are now 23 players remaining at this year's camp.
Forwards Brock Morrison and Chuckie Schembri were both released by Saint John today, as was defenseman Yohann Mathieu. Overage goaltender Ian O'Brien has also been let go. Mathieu, 19, and Morrison, 17, will remain affiliates of the Sea Dogs as they return to their respective MHL clubs. Mathieu is expected to rejoin the Amherst Ramblers, while Morrison will be attending Yarmouth Mariners Training Camp alongside fellow Sea Dogs prospects Colin Campbell and Alex Simpson.
Currently 2-2-0-0 on the 2010 pre-season, Saint John will face the Halifax Mooseheads at Harbour Station on Wednesday night (puck drop: 7pm) in the penultimate exhibition match of the year for the Port City's major junior squad. Tickets to all 34 of the Sea Dogs' regular season home games are also now available for purchase at the Harbour Station Box Office. Saint John's 2010-11 campaign begins on Friday, September 10 with a 7:30pm home game versus the P.E.I. Rocket. A pair of banners will be raised to the rafters at Harbour Station prior to puck drop on this night - one recognizing Saint John's 2009-10 Atlantic Division title and another in recognition of their QMJHL Regular Season championship. Furthermore, the first 5,000 fans in attendance at this game will receive a free Sea Dogs banner magnet compliments of founding partners Irving Oil and Moosehead Breweries.
