New York Red Bulls News Release
HARRISON, N.J. - Four New York Red Bulls players have been called in by their respective National Teams for upcoming international friendlies. Tyler Adams receives his third-straight call up to the senior U.S. Men's National Team. Kemar Lawrence will join Jamaica and defenders Fidel Escobar and Michael Amir Murillo will join Panama.
Homegrown midfielder Tyler Adams earns his third call up to the USMNT since November, previously being called up for international friendlies against Portgual (11/14) and the 2018 January camp that culminated in a match against Bosnia and Herzegovina (1/28).
The USMNT camp commences today, with training ahead of a match against Paraguay on March 27 at Sahlen's Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park in North Carolina (8 PM ET). The 19-year-old Wappingers Falls, New York, native continues to take steps towards becoming a regular with the USMNT, having started and played the full 90 in the last two matches.
Escobar and Murillo join a Panama side preparing for the 2018 World Cup with an international friendly against Denmark in Denmark on March 22, and versus Switzerland in Switzerland on March 27. Both defenders have combined for 39 caps and two goals for the national team since 2015, and both were regulars during World Cup qualification.
Lawrence, a regular for the Reggae Boyz, will head to Jamaica for camp and home match against Antigua and Barbuda on March 25. The Kingston native has 45 senior caps, three goals, and four assists with Jamaica since his first call up on November 16, 2013, including starting roles in all major tournaments the team has participated in.
All four players will join their national teams this weekend, and will miss New York's home match against Minnesota United FC on March 24.
