Four games in five nights for Bruins

Chilliwack Bruins News Release

Chilliwack BC - The Chilliwack Bruins kick off a crucial four games in five night stretch on Friday night versus the Kamloops Blazers. The Bruins and Blazers renew their rivalry, which has seen the Bruins win three of their first seven meetings. The Bruins are in the middle of a scheduling oddity which sees them play the Blazers in three consecutive games. The Bruins won round one of this three game mini-series, topping the Blazers 3-2 in the shootout last Saturday night.

After Friday's contest, the Bruins will take the Coquihalla Highway up to the Interior Savings Centre for the finale of their three gamer versus the Blazers. The Bruins have won twice in the 'Loops this season, an opening night 2-1 win and a 6-2 thumping one month ago. These two clubs will surely be in surly form, as the first game of these series was marked by some big hits, a couple of scraps and a whole bunch of after the whistle, extra curricular activity.

Sunday afternoon marks the return of the Spokane Chiefs to Prospera Centre, a five o' clock start. The Chiefs have not won a game at the Prospera Centre in their three lifetime visits to Chilliwack and will look to change their fortunes. Spokane has been Ranked in the TOP 3 in the CHL for over a month, and are currently in a dogfight with Tri City for the US Division lead as well as Vancouver for the Western Conference and WHL lead. Spokane has a top line that will give Santorelli-Moller-Pighin a run for their money, as Drayson Bowman, Chris Bruton and Mitch Wahl, when on their games, can be virtually unstoppable, as they were in a 5-0 whitewash of the Bruins in Spokane earlier this season.

After a three in three weekend, the Bruins take a valuable day off before taking on the Lethbridge Hurricanes in their one and only visit to Chilliwack this season. The Canes have been in the mix at the top of the Eastern Conference all season long and are battling the Calgary Hitmen for top spot in the Central Division. Former Vancouver Giants super-pest Michael Wuchterl makes a return visit to Prospera Centre, while high flying forwards Zack Boychuk and Mitch Fadden will be a handful up front.

Tickets for all of these games can be purchased online through Ticketmaster, or you can top by the Prospera Centre for all of your ticketing needs.
