Stockton Heat News Release
TUCSON, AZ. - Stockton's win streak stops at four games, following a hard-fought 3-2 loss to the Tucson Roadrunners. The Heat got out to an early 2-0 lead approaching the halfway mark of the second period, but the Roadrunners would respond quickly to avoid dropping three straight games to the Heat. Stockton managed the game well in the first period and Buddy Robinson potted his first goal as a member of the Stockton Heat late in the first period to give the Heat a 1-0 lead at the break. Curtis Lazar would get his 6th goal of the season on a beautiful move to his backhand side. Then the floodgates opened for the home team. Three consecutive goals for the Roadrunners in the span of just 2:39. Three second period goals shifted the momentum in the favor of Tucson and the home team would never look back, holding on to win 3-2. Stockton pressed hard in the final minutes with a few great chances for Robinson and Lazar. Nick Schneider picks up his first loss this season, stopping 27 of 30 shots.
The Heat continue the road trip with a game on Friday night in San Diego against the Gulls at 7:00 PM. Thanksgiving morning will be a travel day for the team ahead of the finale of this three game road trip. Catch the games live on AHLTV or watch the games at Channel Brewing Co. in Downtown Stockton.
