
Four Alley Cats Named to the American Conference All-Star Team

Anderson, IN (January 24, 2007) - Shaun Fountain, Erick Barkley, Carl Edwards, and J.J. Sullinger, of the Indiana Alley Cats, were each named to the CBA American Conference All-Star Team today. The Butte Daredevils will host the game this season on Tuesday, February 6th.
Shaun has averaged 23.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 3.0 steals per game. He currently leads the CBA in steals, is second in scoring, and third in assists. Fountain won the CBA Player of the Week this season for the week of January 2nd - 7th. Shaun has the capability to record a triple double on any given night. He has been one of the Alley Cats most productive players this season.
Erick has averaged 19.1 points, 3.2 rebounds, and 4.5 assists, and 2.8 steals per game. He is the third leading free throw shooter in the league, with a 91% clip from the line. He is also currently third in the league in steals, eighth in assists, and tenth in scoring. Barkley has brought a tremendous amount of experience to the Alley Cats, having played in the NBA before.
Carl came to the Alley Cats via the NBDL and has thrived ever since arriving. He is averaging 20.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He is currently fourth in the league in scoring. He had a season-high 40 points in a game against Pittsburgh earlier this season. Edwards has the ability to light up the scoreboard in bunches as he can create his own shot at anytime.
J.J. is one of only two rookies on the team (along with Pittsburgh's Kevin Pittsnogle). He is averaging 18.9 points and 6.9 rebounds a game. He ranks 11th in scoring and was named the CBA Player of the Week for the week of January 8th - 14th. Sullinger is an exciting young player who brings a ton of energy to the team.
The other members of the All-Star squad include Albany's Jamario Moon, T.J. Thompson, and Eric Williams. Minot has two representatives (Ray Cunningham and Desmond Ferguson). Pittsburgh's lone representative is Pittsnogle.
The Alley Cats will host the Butte Daredevils this weekend. The games are scheduled for Saturday at 7:00 and Sunday afternoon at 3:00.
