
Forward Pontarelli Heads Back to Norfolk

NORFOLK, VA. - The Norfolk Admirals, proud member of the ECHL, announced the signing of forward Michael Pontarelli on Thursday afternoon.
Pontarelli, 23, returns to the Admirals after appearing in five games with the team at the end of last season. The forward started the 2017-18 season with the Quad City Mallards, appearing in nine games. Following a four-year college career at Union College the Laval, QC native got his first taste of professional hockey, joining the Admirals on an ATO. While at Union, Pontarelli appeared in 121 games recording 51 points (21g, 30a). During his freshman season Pontarelli helped the Flying Dutchmen to the first national title in school history.
Pontarelli is expected to be in the lineup Thursday night as the Admirals take on the Icemen.
