Forward Madison Celebrates Birth of Club Cow
January 7, 2021 - United Soccer League One (USL1)
Forward Madison FC News Release
Forward Madison FC welcomed a new member to its team this week in the form of a newborn dairy calf, the first daughter of current FMFC cow (and informal mascot) Lionela Bessi. The yet-to-be-named calf, which was born Tuesday and weighs just over 70 pounds, hopes to join her mother at Forward games when gatherings are safe again.
In the meantime, Forward Madison's fans will have the opportunity to submit names for the baby cow starting Thursday morning on the team's website. The top name submissions will be selected for a final vote, and the fan who submits the winning entry will receive a prize pack.
The link to submit names for Forward Madison's baby cow is live and can be accessed here.
When not attending soccer matches, Forward Madison's new calf will live year-round at Havens Petting Farm in Blue Mounds, where she will be well taken care of by employees who have devoted their lives to the love of animals.
