Fort Worth's John Snowden Named Oakley CHL Player of the Week

GLENDALE, AZ (January 14, 2013) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Fort Worth Brahmas forward John Snowden has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Player of the Week for the period ending January 13, 2013.

Snowden has been fantastic since signing with the Brahmas just before Christmas scoring 11 goals with eight assists and a +14 plus/minus rating in 12 games played. During his time in Fort Worth, the team has posted an 8-4-0 record and have moved up to third place in the Berry Conference. Prior to joining the Brahmas, the veteran spent 22 games in Rapid City scoring twice with nine assists (11 points). Collectively, the Everett, Washington native has 13 goals and 17 assists in 34 games played.

Last week, the Brahmas won three of their four games and Snowden scored goals in all four games finishing the week with seven goals (including one game winner) and two assists. His seven scores accounted for 41% of his team's goals during the week. Snowden scored two goals in three of the four contests and has done so in four of his last five games with a +12 rating over those five games.
