SETTING THE STAGE: The Fort Worth Brahmas will host the Memphis RiverKings tonight at the Fort Worth Convention Center for the third time this season...Overall, this is the fifth of seven meetings this year between the Brahmas and the RiverKings...Memphis won the first three games of the year between the Brahmas and the RiverKings, but Fort Worth came back to win the last meeting between the teams by a 2-0 score on Friday, Dec. 19 in Memphis...All time, Fort Worth is 5-7-3 against the RiverKings, and 3-4-1 at the FWCC.

FORT WORTH NOTES: The Brahmas are in the midst of their best stretch of hockey this season, as they have picked up at least one point in their last six games played 3-0-3...Fort Worth however, is winless in their last two games, suffering back to back overtime losses to the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs, including last night's 4-3 OT loss on home ice...In that game, forwards Aaron Davis, Joey Bastien and Justin Williams scored goals for Fort Worth while left wing Chad Woollard had two assists...D-man Ivan Curic will make his Brahmas debut tonight after being claimed on waivers Friday afternoon from Oklahoma City...The Brahmas forward line of Chad Woollard, Aaron Davis, and Justin Williams have combined for 24 points (10G/14A) in their last ten games.

MEMPHIS NOTES: Memphis is coming off a 2-1 overtime loss last night at the DeSoto Civic Center against the New Mexico Scorpions...Center Jerry Gernander scored the only Memphis goal in the OT loss...The storyline for the RiverKings tonight will be attrition...Three players-forwards Jonathan Gagnon, defenseman David Turon, and goaltender Mike Minard-are on recall with the St. John Maple Leafs of the AHL...Goaltender J.F. Racine also received a six game CHL issued suspension based on his actions in the RiverKings game on Thursday night vs. Wichita...This leaves Memphis with just one goaltender on their roster as of 2:00 today...RiverKings right wing Don Parsons is in a familiar spot, leading the CHL in goals with 25.

NEXT UP FOR THE BRAHMAS: Fort Worth will wrap up their busy weekend tomorrow afternoon, Sunday, Jan. 11, at 3:00 against the Lubbock Cotton Kings...The Brahmas will then have Monday off before hosting the Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in their first ever "Cool School" game...6,500 FWISD fourth graders will be at the FWCC on Tuesday morning for the game...For more information, please contact the Brahmas office at (817) 336-4423.
