
Fort Worth acquires Azubuike

GREENVILLE, S.C., December 6 - The Fort Worth Flyers have acquired rookie forward/guard Kelenna Azubuike from the NBA Development League available player pool. The Flyers waived forward Dainmon Gonner.
Azubuike was in training camp with the Cleveland Cavaliers this season after averaging 7.5 points and 1.2 rebounds for the Cavs during Reebok Vegas Summer Classic. He converted 21-of-38 field goal attempts (21-38) through six games in Vegas. He averaged 10.0 points and 3.7 rebounds over a 97-game game collegiate career at the University of Kentucky.
Gonner played in six games for the Flyers, averaging 9.5 minutes, 2.2 points and 1.0 rebounds after being allocated to Fort Worth during the preseason.
Azubuike is expected to be in a Fort Worth uniform when the Flyers are host to the Florida Flame on Thursday.
