GREENVILLE, S.C., December 6 - The Fayetteville Patriots have acquired forward Duane Erwin from the NBA Development League available player pool and waived center Nick Billings.
At 6-9, 245, Erwin is a rookie from Memphis that averaged 6.7 points and 6.1 rebounds for the Tigers last season. Billings played in two games for the Patriots after being acquired on November 22, averaging 7.5 minutes, 2.0 points and 1.5 rebounds.
Erwin is expected to be in uniform when the Patriots are host to Fort Worth on Saturday. He will wear jersey No. 11.
