
Fort Wayne Acquires Justin Anderson's Rights in Trade with Long Island

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne Mad Ants, presented by Lutheran Health Network, the NBA G League affiliate of the Indiana Pacers, announced today they have acquired the returning player rights of Justin Anderson from the Long Island Nets. As part of the trade, the Nets will receive the returning player rights to Josh Gray.
This trade is not subject to a physical.
Anderson, a 6-foot-5 shooting guard/small forward, has NBA experience over six seasons. He last played in the NBA Summer League with the Houston Rockets in August, where he played 19.5 minutes per contest.
Anderson last played in the NBA regular season during the 2019-2020 season, playing 10 games with the Brooklyn Nets. That same season, Anderson averaged 20.7 points over 15 games for Raptors 905 before being traded to Long Island, where he averaged 20.5 points and 3.7 assists over 16 games. He was named All-NBA G League Third Team that season.
Anderson spent three seasons playing at the University of Virginia. During his final season as a junior, he was named Second Team All-ACC and Third Team All-American by the NABC while averaging 12.2 points per game. Anderson was then drafted 21st overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks.
