
Former Winterhawks Executive Matt Bardsley Named Amateur Scout for Philadelphia Flyers, to be Based out of Portland

Portland, Ore. - The Portland Winterhawks would like to congratulate former executive Matt Bardsley on being named an amateur scout for the National Hockey League's Philadelphia Flyers.
Bardsley joined the Winterhawks in 1999 as a scout before moving to the position of Director of Player Personnel for the 2007-08 season. He remained in that position for three seasons, then became the team's Director of Hockey Operations from 2010-12. His 18-year tenure with the team concluded with him serving as the club's Assistant General Manager from 2013-18.
An integral staff member of the team's 2013 WHL Championship team, Bardsley then departed the Winterhawks to become the General Manager of the Kamloops Blazers, where he headed the team's Hockey Operations department from 2018-2020.
For his next venture with the Flyers, Bardsley will be based out of Portland.
