
Former Wings Player Leading Team in USHL Playoffs

Former Aberdeen Wings forward Peter Krieger is helping his team through the 2014 USHL Playoffs as a member of the Waterloo Blackhawks. The team is set to take on the Sioux City Musketeers for the Conference Championship in hopes of reaching the Clark Cup championship against either the Indiana Ice or the defending cup champs Dubuque Fighting Saints.
Krieger played in the 2012-2013 season for the Aberdeen Wings where he scored 22 goals and 32 assists for 54 points in just 59 games. In the off-season, he was picked by the Waterloo Blackhawks in the 7th round, 99th overall in the 2013 USHL Entry-Draft. Later that summer, Krieger announced his collegiate commitment to play for the University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
This season with the Blackhawks, Krieger has scored 26 goals and 41 assists for 67 points in 60 games. So far in the playoffs, he has tallied one goal and two assists.
Krieger and the Waterloo Blackhawks will host the Sioux City Musketeers on Friday in the first of a 5-game series.
