
Former Stampede Forward Matt Lindblad Signs with Boston Bruins

Sioux Falls, SD-Former Stampede forward Matt Lindblad has signed an NHL entry-level contract with the Boston Bruins. The Bruins have assigned him to their AHL affiliate, the Providence Bruins.
Lindblad spent the 2009-10 season with the Herd where he finished second in the league in scoring with 70 points (24g, 46a) in 57 games. Four of his goals were game-winners and he was third overall in the USHL with 13 powerplay goals and his 46 assists were fifth most in the league. His 70 points ranked 7th overall in the USHL and helped lead the Stampede into the playoffs.
The Winnetka, Ill. native went on to play three seasons at Dartmouth College where he scored 80 points (29g, 51a) in 89 career games at the school. The recently turned 23-year-old was second on the team in scoring this season with 28 points (10g, 18a) in 30 games.
The Providence Bruins host the Hersey Bears, the top affiliate for the Washington Capitals, tonight at 6:05 PM (Central).
