Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, NE: Head coach Patrick Pimmel explains, "Since the Rage organization has gone into a year of hiatus, there was a lot of talent with no where to go. Owner Jeff Sprowls and I knew the talent that was there and finally have signed some of the players."
Here are a few comments coach has made:
*Joel Clinger 6'6", 315 lbs-Offensive Line-played college for the University of Missouri and professional football for the NY Gaints
~~~Joel came late (to the Rage) and shored up that right tackle position and was a key factor in their playoff run last year.
*Darnell Terrell 6'3", 205 lbs-Defensive Back-played college for the University of Missouri and professional football for the Cleveland Browns
~~~D.T.is probably one of the best athletes I have ever seen. Last year (for the Rage) was his rookie season in the IFL and finished strong. I am looking for big things out of him in 2010.
*Cornelius `Pig' Brown5'11", 200 lbs-Defensive Back-played college for the University of Missouri and professional football for the Green Bay Packers
~~~Pig was our (Rage) leader on defense. He always makes the big play or the big hit. He is just a solid playmaker with solid NFL talent. It just has been an honor to coach him.
The Omaha Beef is proud to be in their 11th season playing professional indoor football. They are one of the longest running and most consistent indoor clubs of all time in any capacity.
The Beef also are proud that The Prime Dancers were named the 2009 `Dance Team of the Year'. And by the way, their mascot, Sir Loin, was named the 2009 `Mascot of the Year'.
