Corpus Christi Hammerheads News Release
Corpus Christi, TX- The Hammerheads have a new shark in the Tank this week. He comes to Corpus Christi to fill in at offensive line after John Schall was picked up by the Montreal Alouettes of the Canadian Football League earlier this week. David Lose, a 23 year old 6'3" 310 lb offensive/defensive lineman, is no slouch when it comes to the "trenches." David started his senior year at OL splitting time as both a guard and center and his versatility proved to be valuable for the Beavers of Oregon State. David was also a star on both sides of the ball at Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, CA, recording 58 solo tackles, 27 assisted tackles, 8 sacks, 21 tackles for a loss and 4 forced fumbles his senior year. David most recently played for the Bakersfield Blitz, of the Arena Football 2 League, where he played offensive line.
David, who is descendant from the peoples of the Tongan Islands of the Pacific, was an honor roll student and class president in high school and is an overall class act that is a proven leader on and off the field. David looks to fit in nicely at center and is the caliber of player that is needed to pick up right where John Schall left off. Look for great things from David as the Hammerheads set their sights on Kissimmee, FL, the next stop on the Shark Bite Tour.
Don't forget to tune into the Beach 96.5 at 5:50 PM on Saturday April 9, 2005 to catch your Hammerheads live from the Silver Spur Arena in Kissimmee, FL as they take a Bite out of the Kissimmee Kreatures.
