Iowa Cubs News Release

The Houston Astros announced Tuesday the hiring of former Iowa Cubs broadcasters Brett Dolan and David Raymond as radio broadcasters for the defending National League champions.

The duo will join Fairfield, Iowa native and University of Iowa graduate Milo Hamilton in the booth for Houston. The 2006 season will be the 22nd yearcalling Astros action for the Hall of Famer.

During the 2006 season, Hamilton will serve as the play-by-play analyst for Astros radio broadcasts during home games, with Dolan and Raymond sharing color analyst duties. For road games, Dolan and Raymond will share play-by-play duties along with pre- and post-game responsibilities.

"We are excited about having a fresh start with our Astros broadcasts in 2006," said Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Drayton McLane. "We feel that Brett and Dave are talented and energetic broadcasters and will become an instant hit with our fans. I have strong confidence that teaming those two with our own Hall of Famer in Milo Hamilton will take Astros radio to the next level."

Dolan, a Casey, Iowa native and graduate of the University of Iowa, is a 16-year broadcasting veteran, and spent the 1998-99 seasons with Deene Ehlis in the Iowa Cubs' broadcast booth and was selected to broadcast the 2005 Triple A All-Star Game.

Raymond, a Gering, Nebraska native, is a Stanford University graduate and a 10-year broadcasting veteran who spent five years alongside Ehlis in the I-Cubs' radio booth from 2000-2004.

"I'm very excited for those two," said Ehlis, who enters his 17th season with Iowa in 2006. "I couldn't be more excited for them as this is a great opportunity and something they've worked hard for."
