
Former Gambler Signs Pro Contract

(Green Bay, WI) The Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League have signed former Gamblers defenseman Jeremy Dehner to an Amateur Tryout Contract. Dehner, 22, is a 5-foot-9, 180-pound defenseman from Madison, Wisconsin. He just completed his senior season at the University of Massachusetts at Lowell, posting six goals and 21 points in 34 games. Over the course of his four-year collegiate hockey career, Dehner posted 13 goals and 79 points in 139 games with UMass-Lowell.
Prior to his time at Lowell, Dehner spent two seasons with the Gamblers organization (2004-06). In 109 career games, Dehner tallied 56 points (13g & 43a).
The move to Norfolk will reunite Dehner with former Gamblers assistant coach Leigh Mendelson, who is the current head coach of the Admirals.
