
Former Gambler Named WCHA Defensive Player of the Year

(Green Bay, WI)- The Western Collegiate Hockey Association has announced Former Gamblers defenseman Nick Jensen has been named WCHA Defensive Player of the Year.
St. Cloud State University defenseman Nick Jensen, who suited up for the Green Bay Gamblers from 2008-10, led the conference with 19 assists and was second with 23 points in league action. He also ranks second on the team with a plus-15 on-ice rating. Overall, he has 29 points (4g, 25a) which places him eighth amongst Division 1 defensemen and his 25 assists rank him second nationally among college hockey blueliners. In the USHL, he helped Green Bay capture the Clark Cup in 2010 and consecutive Anderson Cup titles (2009-10). Jensen was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the 2009 NHL Draft following his rookie USHL season
