Ice Goaltender Wins USHL Goaltender of Week

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Ice announced today that first-year goaltender Anderson Snair has been named the USHL's Goaltender of the Week. This is the first time he has received this honor and the third time an Iceman has been named this season.

Snair finished last weekend with a .963 save percentage and a 0.96 GAA in back-to-back starts against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders on Friday and the Chicago Steel on Saturday.

The Halifax, Nova Scotia native tossed aside all 22 RoughRiders shots to earn his first USHL shutout in Friday's 1-0 win at Pan Am Plaza. He then followed Friday's performance with a 30-save effort in Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Chicago Steel at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

After joining the Indy roster in mid-December, Snair has accumulated a 3.23 GAA and a .895 save percentage in 14 contests. He started the season in Nova Scotia with the Metro Shipbuilders (MJHL).

Snair and the Indiana Ice start a six-game road stretch this Thursday and Friday with a pair of contests against the Youngstown Phantoms from the Covelli Centre. Hockey returns to Bankers Life Fieldhouse on Saturday, April 6 against Team USA.

Single-game tickets start at $11 for Bankers Life Fieldhouse games and general admission tickets for Pan Am Plaza games are $10. There is a $2 discount for children 10 and under and seniors 62 and over. Group Tickets are on sale now for $7. The Indiana Ice is also accepting ticket deposits for the 2013-2014 regular season. The $50 non-refundable deposit can be used on all ticket types ranging from individual and group tickets to flex, half and full-season packages.
