Former Forward Tanner Kero Named WCHA Player of the Year

FARGO, ND - Former Fargo Force forward, Tanner Kero, has been named the WCHA Player of the Year. He was also named Outstanding Student Athlete of the Year and selected for the All-WCHA First Team.

Kero, a senior at Michigan Tech, was the leading scorer in the WCHA, scoring 13 goals and adding 21 assists for a total of 34 points in 28 conference games. Heading into the postseason, he is tied for 10th in the country with 43 points overall (18g, 25a) and is ranked towards the top of the league in game-winning goals (7) and plus/minus (+22). Kero is also a nominee for the 2015 Hobey Baker Award and is one of ten finalists for the 2015 Senior CLASS Award.

Kero played one season in the USHL for Fargo in 2010-11. The forward played in 55 games during the regular season, posting 37 points with 14 goals and 23 assists. He had seven multi-point games with his highest being 4 points (2 goals, 2 assists) in one game alone.
